Quick trip to Midlothian!

So this weekend we got to spend a little bit of time with Andy's family. We drove up to Midlothian Saturday morning where Andy's sister, Kari, husband John, and our 2 nieces Daisy and Tessa live. Then we hopped in the car and drove another hour to a birthday party for their MeMaw. It was a big one since she was turning 80 years old! It was the first time in a while the whole family had been together and a lot of people showed up so it was a special occasion for sure. I didn't get many pictures...

After the party we went back to the Mapes to hang out and just spend some time together. Molly had her first experience with a cat, which was very anticlimatic since she knows not to completely ignore anything that could mess with her (and that cat definitely could of)

We also got to go for a walk and the park with the girls, that's a little high Uncle Andy!

That night we went and ate an awesome place called Babe's. I love when restaurants serve family style and it was super yummy home cooking which is my one of my favorite things to it, it was a really fun place.


It was a great weekend and I'm grateful to have some family in the same state as me, just wish we were a little closer so we could have more fun weekends together like this one!
