Memorial Weekend

So I had an amazing long 4 days weekend and Andy had a still awesome 3 day weekend! It was perfect. We may have actually found a balance of getting stuff done but still getting out of the house (and Lowes) and having some fun!
We cook meals together, walked the dogs lots, Andy worked on the Nova, I worked on the bathroom, and spent lots of time with friends. Saturday night we ate at Abel's on the lake which was super cool with a bunch of Andy's friends from work. It's weird how just being close to water is nice and relaxing. Then Sunday was church and the young married's annual pool party which was fabulous. Wish I had pictures...
Then Monday we were true Austinites and went down to Barton Springs! In 3 years of living here we had never been and it was just so cool. The water stays a constant 68 degrees year round, which doesn't sound cold, but holy macaroni it was freezing! Felt good (once you got use to it/your body became numb enough not to feel it) with roasting hot sun scorching down on us though!

Then when we got home we went for our first swim at our neighborhood pool! Lots of water, lots of time with friends, makings for a great weekend.
Oh, and of course since Memorial isn't all abour eating burnt hot dogs (mmmm...) and being poolside we also watch "Brothers" a movie that is really intense and shows how being in combats affects the soldier and their family. Good movie.
Anywho, that's our fun weekend- hope you guys had an awesome one too!!!!!
